REFLECTION

Joy is a central message of today’s feast. It’s a day to rejoice in the very real presence of Jesus with us. We rejoice in Jesus, who inaugurated a new covenant between God and his creation by offering himself on the cross. We affirm that covenant each time we eat his Body and drink his Blood in the Eucharist. Today is a day to reflect on Jesus, minister of the new covenant in his blood. It’s a day to ponder the mystery of his presence with us under the appearance of bread and wine.
