REFLECTION

On this Third Sunday of Lent, the image of water runs through the readings as a sign of God’s grace. In the desert, water flows from rock and in the Gospel, Jesus offers the Samaritan woman “living water” that transforms her life. St. Paul reminds us that God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Grace can be hard to define, but we recognize it in what Celtic Christians call “thin places”. These thin places can be moments or spaces where the distance between us and God feels small. Our churches, acts of service, encounters with others, times of prayer, solitude, and the beauty of creation can all become wells of living water. As we continue our Lenten journey, may we seek out these thin places, draw deeply from Christ’s living water, and allow His grace to renew us and flow outward to others.

BEFORE YOU FIX YOUR WEDDING DATE

Thinking about doing your wedding in the Church? Great move! The way to go is to call the parish office and schedule an appointment with the priest at least 12 months before your desired wedding date. It is a requirement in the Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto.

Hoping for the best for you as you process and make this important life-long decision

DID YOU KNOW

God’s patience is mercy, but it’s not permission to delay conversion?
A change of heart is more urgent than a change of image?
Confession is not about reliving failure but reclaiming freedom?
