REFLECTION

In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that God’s generosity is far greater than our human ideas of fairness. While we often compare ourselves to others and focus on what we think we deserve, God looks with love upon each person and provides according to His mercy. The workers in the vineyard teach us that God’s blessings are gifts, not rewards to be measured against others. Let us be grateful for His abundant love and strive to reflect that same generosity, compassion, and mercy in our daily lives.

BEFORE YOU FIX YOUR WEDDING DATE

Thinking about doing your wedding in the Church? Great move! The way to go is to call the parish office and schedule an appointment with the priest at least 12 months before your desired wedding date. It is a requirement in the Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto.

Hoping for the best for you as you process and make this important life-long decision

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: RELIGIOUS ED.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age"

EXPLORE THE CATHOLIC FAITH: RCIA

Do you have family members or friends who are curious about the Catholic Church, or looking to complete their Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist)? Invite them to join our Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program! RCIA offers a welcoming environment to ask questions, explore the rich traditions of our faith, and discern entering fully into the Catholic Church.

Dates: Sep 28,2026 through April 26, 2027.

Who it’s for: Unbaptized adults, baptized non-Catholics seeking full communion, or baptized Catholics needing Confirmation and/or First Holy Communion.

life chain

Life Chain is a peaceful public witness to the sanctity of human life and the evil of abortion. Christians pray for its end and hold signs bearing truths such as “Abortion Kills Children,” “Abortion Hurts Women,” and “Jesus Forgives & Heals” at hundreds of locations from coast to coast. Please set aside just one hour on Sunday, October 4th from 2:00 – 3:00 to gather together at Lawrence and Kingston Rds. This is a special opportunity to provide our neighbours with a much needed wake-up call. Remember how Our Lord asked His apostles:

“Could you not watch one hour with me?” (Mk 14:37)

DID YOU KNOW

God's generosity often exceeds our sense of fairness because His mercy cannot be measured by human standards?
St. Francis rejoiced when others were blessed because he saw every gift as coming from God rather than as a competition?
Comparing your blessings to someone else's is one of the quickest ways to lose gratitude?
