REFLECTION
As we continue to celebrate the joy of Easter, today’s readings remind us that the Church has always been a people on a journey. From the earliest Christian communities to the present day, believers have wrestled together with questions about how best to live the Gospel, serve one another, and remain faithful to God’s call. In the spirit of synodality, walking together and listening to God’s Word, we are reminded that we are “living stones,” called to build up the Church as a holy people. Like the first disciples, we may sometimes wonder about the path ahead. In today’s Gospel, Thomas asks, “How can we know the way?” Jesus responds by reminding us that he himself is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. As we walk together in faith, trusting in God’s love and guidance, we keep our eyes fixed on Christ, confident that following Him will lead us forward in hope, unity, and service.

Help Mums and their Babies Choose Life!
The pro-life organization Aid to Women has been operating in the GTA for over 40 years counselling abortion-minded women to choose life for themselves and their babies. They encourage those women by pledging to support them and their babies the first two years of their child’s life with everything from diapers, clothing, car seats, strollers, food and much more.
Aid to Women will be conducting a Baby Bottle for Life fund raising campaign at our Parish at all the weekend Masses May 9th and 10th (Mother’s Day weekend).
They will be handing out empty baby bottles and asking you to take them home and fill them with coins, bills and cheques and return the filled bottles at all the Masses on Father’s Day weekend, June 20th and 21st.
Please support Aid to Women so they can continue their very important ministry and say YES to life.

BEFORE YOU FIX YOUR WEDDING DATE
Thinking about doing your wedding in the Church? Great move! The way to go is to call the parish office and schedule an appointment with the priest at least 12 months before your desired wedding date. It is a requirement in the Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto.
Hoping for the best for you as you process and make this important life-long decision
DID YOU KNOW
| When a loved one dies, the best gift of faith to him or her is a Funeral Mass in the Church not a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home? | |
| The Scripture Readings and Hymns for a loved one’s funeral must be from the Selections for a Funeral Liturgy approved for use by Toronto Catholic Archdiocese? | |
| Eulogy is no longer encouraged as part of the funeral Mass and that families should consider having it either at the Visitation or at the Reception? |
