REFLECTION

We live in a world of “Maybes.” Invitations are often answered with hesitation, uncertainty, or delay. Yet in the Gospel of the Ascension, Jesus offers his disciples something far greater than a casual invitation — he gives them a mission: “Go and make disciples of all nations.” Christ calls each of us not to stand on the sidelines of faith, but to live with courage, love, and commitment. Even today, Jesus continues to invite us daily through Scripture, prayer, the people we meet, and the needs we encounter. The Ascension reminds us that although Christ returned to the Father, he remains with us and works through us. May we respond not with a hesitant “maybe,” but with hearts ready to say, “Yes, Lord.”

notice

There will be no Mass in our parish on Tuesday, March 31. This is because all the priests in our archdiocese, including the priests serving in our parish, will be attending the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral, in preparation for the Holy Week and Easter celebrations. Please note this date on your calendar and plan accordingly.

Bundle up weekend

This season’s Bundle-Up Weekend (BUW) Program, is scheduled for May 23th (Saturday) & 24th (Sunday), 2026 from 8:30am to 6:30 pm at the West Parking Lot. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact at Lyndon at 647-524-6157

JUNIOR PRAESIDIUM – LEGION OF MARY

Members of the Legion of Mary are happy to announce that they will be re-starting the Junior Praesidium in our Parish.

What is a Junior Praesidium of the Legion of Mary?

The Junior Legion is an organisation for the spiritual development of persons under 18 years of age The purpose is to train and nourish the spiritual life of young members with a focus on Mother Mary. Each group, which is called a Praesidium, is under the guidance of a Spiritual Director and members of the Adult Praesidium.

What do Junior members do?

Juniors are encouraged to attend a weekly Praesidium Meeting and perform an hour of apostolic work weekly. These involve a variety of activities such as serving as altar servers, inviting others to
become active or auxiliary members, and praying daily with their families. They are encouraged to bring siblings or relatives to Mass, make and distribute rosaries, prayer cards, and Miraculous Medals,
and assist in Sunday School and children’s liturgy. They may also accompany adult members on apostolic visits, care for the elderly, and visit long-term care homes, assisting residents to and from
para-liturgical services.

Meetings:

Tuesdays, 5:30 – 6:30 PM Starting May 19
Room #1, Church Basement

Legion members will be in the Narthex to register children and answer questions.

Thinking about doing your wedding in the Church? Great move! The way to go is to call the parish office and schedule an appointment with the priest at least 12 months before your desired wedding date. It is a requirement in the Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto.

Hoping for the best for you as you process and make this important life-long decision
