REFLECTION
How hesitant we are to recognize Jesus as Lord of our lives! If he takes precedence over our every preoccupation, however, our lives as disciples become contagious. In today’s gospel, Jesus gives to his followers the commission to spread the Good News of God’s love throughout the world. We are baptized into Christ through the Spirit so that we may praise the Father. That experience of God’s love should overflow so that we exhibit the joy of living in Christ’s company. To be effective disciples, we must be able to read—as did the chosen people in today’s first scripture passage—the signs of God’s interventions in our own lives. This same God is our creator, redeemer and sustainer still. St. Paul’s letter to the Romans speaks out of that apostle’s experience of transforming contact with God. We, God’s children, can call God our dear Abba, Father; we are co-heirs with Christ and even now are being transformed by the Spirit. We share in Christ’s suffering so that we may be children of glory.

WEDNESDAY, May 29, 2024 6:30—7:30 PM
St. Joseph’s Parish Hall (East Entrance by the Church office)
During our first session, a recurring theme that identified itself was “what is my vocation?”. We wanted to build on that in the lens of Catholicism and engage in discussion once again with this second session that will focus on how we can better represent ourselves as Catholics in today’s society.
Please pass the invite on to anyone who you may feel is looking to join our Young Adults ministry!
Refreshments and Pizza will be provided, but we encourage all attending to bring something small for the group.
