REFLECTION

The Trinity is not an abstract doctrine but a living reality. In today’s gospel Jesus speaks of the Father and Holy Spirit as the most profound and living reality of his own life. With them he communes; their life he shares. We too can live in communion with the Trinity. The Spirit will lead us to the truth of Jesus, and Jesus will lead us to the Father. It is the Spirit who inspires us to carry on in the Church Jesus’ work of revealing the Father. In the reading from Proverbs, we find a first stage in the revelation of the Trinity: Wisdom is personified, seeming to work with God in creating the world. St. Paul writes to the Romans about the gift of faith which gives us hope of one day seeing God’s glory. But already we are learning to rely on God’s life within us. We are being proved by suffering, giving us a share with Christ: and we experience God’s love our hearts. God our creator, redeemer and sustainer is the center of our lives as Christians. May we grow in this state of grace.

Our Lady’s Grotto Project

Join in Building a Parish Grotto of Mother Mary.

We invite you to be part of this special parish project by donating towards a Grotto Stone or more in ‘Memory of a Loved One’.

Please donate $50 for each Grotto Stone. To donate, place the following in the special Grotto envelope:

  1. Your donation
  2. The name(s) of your loved one(s).

Also, write your name and parish envelope number on the same special Grotto envelope and place it in the collection basket.

In appreciation of your generosity at the completion of the Grotto:

  1. There will be a parish special Mass of Thanksgiving for all the donors, of course every parishioner is welcome to attend this Mass,
  2. The names of the loved ones of every single donor will be compiled and memorialized in a canister to be enclosed inside the Grotto’s foundation base. So, YOUR LOVED ONE’S NAME WILL NOT BE WRITTEN ON THE GROTTO STONES YOU MADE A DONATION FOR.
  3. A prayer plaque with a general appreciation of all the donors will be mounted on the façade of the Grotto’s foundation stone base. So, NO INDIVIDUAL DONOR’S NAME WILL BE WRITTEN ON THE PLAQUE

Thanks for your generosity!

Jubilee 2025 – Month of the Sacred Heart

As Pilgrims of Hope during this Jubilee Holy Year, we reflect on Pope Francis’ words:

Hope is born of love and based on the love springing from the pierced heart of Jesus upon the cross.

In this month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, let us pray for a deepening of Christ’s love in our hearts and for our bishops and priests—especially during the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests on Friday, June 27.

Mark your calendars for the Archdiocesan Jubilee Pilgrimage to the Martyrs’ Shrine with Cardinal Leo and the Auxiliary Bishops on Sunday, August 24, 2025, as we also celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Shrine and the 400th Anniversary of the first Mass in Huronia.

Further information and registration will follow in the weeks to come.

Father’s Day Blessing

On this Father’s Day, we give thanks for the gift of fatherhood in all its forms—biological fathers, adoptive and spiritual fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and all men who reflect the love and strength of God. We look to St. Joseph, humble guardian of the Holy Family, as the model of patient fatherhood, quiet courage, and faithful service. Like St. Joseph, may all fathers lead with compassion, protect with gentleness, and guide their families, in faith and love.

May God bless and strengthen all fathers today and always.

St. Joseph, pray for them.

Did you know?

  1. You are required to contact the parish office at least 1 year in advance when planning to wed in the Church?
  2. Your wedding date and other key plans like booking a reception hall or making travel plans for relatives, etc must not be fixed and concluded before meeting with the priest in the parish to register to wed in the Church?
  3. Marriage between a Catholic and a non-Catholic is celebrated as usual, but not within a Holy Mass, which would also mean that there will not be distribution and reception of the Holy Communion?

Youth Ministry Fundraiser

Registration for youth in grade 6, 7, and 8 begins on  September 16th. EDGE will meet on the 2nd and 4th  Fridays of the month, starting October 11th.

Come discover Ethereal Realm Heroes!
