REFLECTION

Today’s readings reminds us of the call to righteous living and compassion. The prophet Amos warns against self indulgence that ignores God and the needs of others. In the Gospel, the rich man fails to see Lazarus’ dignity, even in death, showing how selfishness hardens the heart. The great chasm between them challenges us to reflect : have we ignored those in need? Christ, though rich, became poor for our sake, crossing the divide so that we may share eternal life with Him. Let us live gratefully, with hearts that are open to God and neighbor.
