REFLECTION

As we begin Advent, we often rush with Christmas preparations, yet the Scriptures invite us to a deeper question: Are we ready for Christ to come into our lives? Christians live in hope, knowing this life is passing but something greater awaits us. This does not mean detaching from the world. Christ comes into our ordinary moments: our work, routines, joys, and struggles. Jesus calls us to “stay awake,” not only for the end of time, but to stay present and attentive to the ways He enters our lives each day. Advent invites us to notice Christ in the people around us. Perhaps its the newcomer, the grieving widow, the lonely, the overlooked. As we prepare to celebrate the wonder of God coming to us as a child, may we open our hearts to welcome Him in the many ways He appears in our midst.
