REFLECTION
Today’s Gospel is both familiar and deeply comforting, drawing us into the mystery of God’s astonishing choice to enter our human reality. Through Matthew’s account, we are reminded that Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s promises spoken through the prophets. Special attention is given to Joseph, who faithfully accepts his responsibility to support Mary and to safeguard the Messianic line of David. At the heart of this Gospel is the name Emmanuel—“God is with us.” As we near the celebration of Christmas, we are invited to pause in wonder at this truth: that the eternal, all-powerful God humbled Himself to become human, so that He might dwell among us and lead us to eternal life. May this mystery inspire quiet contemplation and renewed hope in the days ahead.
Adapted from Living with Christ– December 2025– Rev. Leonard Altilia, SJ—Montreal, QC
As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, may this holy season fill your hearts with peace, joy, and hope. Thank you for being a cherished part of our parish family. Your faith and generosity make our community a true reflection of Christ’s love. May the coming year bring you abundant blessings and renewed strength. Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed Christmas
Fr. Francis
Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife... When Joseph awoke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him.
Are you willing to respond as Joseph did? If God is calling you, contact Fr. Matt McCarthy, Director of Vocations, Archdiocese of Toronto at 416-968-0997.

DID YOU KNOW
| Christmas is a whole Season lasting 12 Days, not just December 25, because God’s coming is too big for one day? (Luke 2:10–11) | |
| Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses are a big deal because they celebrate the moment God stepped into human history for you personally? (Luke 2:10–11; Titus 2:11) | |
| Christmas Day Mass is essential because celebrating Christ’s birth without worship misses the point? (Luke 2:16, 20) |
