REFLECTION

Today’s Gospel invites us to reflect on the baptism of Jesus and our own baptism. John the Baptist proclaims Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world—a truth we profess at every Mass. Remembering our baptism reminds us that we are God’s beloved, embraced by an unconditional and unearned love. Secure in this love, we can honestly face our need for forgiveness and trust that God’s grace is always offered. During this Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, we pray that our shared baptism may unite us and inspire us to live out our mission: revealing God’s love in a broken and wounded world.

office of vocations

St. Paul tells us that we have been sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be a holy people. Could it be that you or someone in your family is being called to be a priest, deacon, brother or sister? Contact Fr. Matt McCarthy, Director of Vocations, Archdiocese of Toronto at 416-968-0997.Email vocations@archtoronto.org www.vocationstoronto.ca

2026 DONATION ENVELOPES

The 2026 donation envelopes are available in the Narthex for pick up. Please be patient and ensure you are picking up your own box.

Please help us return those boxes that are not yours to their original spots to save everyone’s time. We thank you for you generosity and for following and respecting this guideline.

Important Update on Parish Envelope Numbers

Due to rising costs and decreased envelope use, envelope numbers will be reassigned effective in year 2027. Beginning in 2027, envelope numbers will be reassigned annually to help us use resources wisely. Unused envelope boxes will be reassigned, and boxes will not be issued the following year if they are not used.

If you donate through Pre-Authorized Giving (PAG), please consider switching to a boxless number. Your donations will continue to be tracked by number, without the cost of envelope boxes. “2nd Collections only” envelopes can also be provided if needed.

If you have any questions, please contact us at 416-282-0370.

tiptap

TipTap is now up and running! This easy-to-use contactless donation system is available in the Narthex entrance doors, East entrance doors and West entrance doors .

Your generosity helps support our parish and now giving is more convenient than ever. For more details please visit the parish website. Thank you for your continued support!

BEFORE YOU FIX YOUR WEDDING DATE

Thinking about doing your wedding in the Church? Great move! The way to go is to call the parish office and schedule an appointment with the priest at least 12 months before your desired wedding date. It is a requirement in the Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto.

Hoping for the best for you as you process and make this important life-long decision

DID YOU KNOW

When arranging the funeral Mass for a loved one that you also indicate to the priest whether the burial will be the same day or not?
Members of the family that are assigned to read from the Bible during the funeral Mass must arrive half an hour before the Mass?
When assigned to read at a funeral Mass, you only do the Bible reading without adding at the beginning or the end anything like: “Hi”, “Good day”, “Thanks for coming”, etc?
