REFLECTION
Today’s liturgy reminds us of the profound truth that Jesus Christ is the Light of the world. He shines not only into the darkness of history, but into the confusion, fragility, and uncertainty of our own lives. Again and again, we discover that we cannot heal the world or ourselves by our own wisdom alone. When we rely only on human strength, we fall short. But when we allow God’s wisdom to guide us, his light begins to shine through us, just as the moon reflects the sun. As St. Paul reminds us, our faith does not rest on clever words, but on the power of God at work in our lives. May we allow that power to transform us, so that Christ’s light may shine through us in love, compassion, and forgiveness.
