REFLECTION

Today’s readings invite us to reflect on our identity as a Church, rooted in the power of the Resurrection. The early Christian community, as seen in Acts, is filled with joy, healing, and growth as they boldly proclaim Christ. In the Gospel, Jesus reveals the deep unity between humanity and God through love and the gift of the Spirit. As disciples, we are called to live this love by welcoming, affirming, and uniting all people. May we open our hearts to the Spirit, so that, beyond our differences, we may truly live as one in Christ’s love.

Happy
Mothers Day

With gratitude and prayers for all mothers and those who hold mother’s role in our lives.

notice

There will be no Mass in our parish on Tuesday, March 31. This is because all the priests in our archdiocese, including the priests serving in our parish, will be attending the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral, in preparation for the Holy Week and Easter celebrations. Please note this date on your calendar and plan accordingly.

BEFORE YOU FIX YOUR WEDDING DATE

Thinking about doing your wedding in the Church? Great move! The way to go is to call the parish office and schedule an appointment with the priest at least 12 months before your desired wedding date. It is a requirement in the Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto.

Hoping for the best for you as you process and make this important life-long decision

DID YOU KNOW

Jesus’ new commandment to love from John 13:34 is most often first learned at home, through the quiet, sacrificial love of mothers, all of whom we celebrate on Mother's Day today?
St. Francis of Assisi whose 800th Jubilee we celebrate this Year of St. Francis, discovered that real renewal begins when we love others not sentimentally, but sacrificially and consistently?
The new heaven and the new earth that the Scriptures speak of in Revelation 21:1, begin whenever we choose compassion over indifference in daily life?
