REFLECTION
This Sunday's readings present a beautiful image of God's generous love and His desire to gather all people into His presence. Through the prophet Isaiah, we hear of a great feast prepared for all nations, where sorrow and death are overcome and every tear is wiped away. Psalm 23 reassures us that the Lord, our Shepherd, provides for us and walks with us even through life's darkest valleys. In the Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the wedding banquet. The king's invitation is extended to everyone, reminding us that God's love is offered freely and generously. Yet the parable also teaches that accepting God's invitation requires more than simply showing up. The wedding garment symbolizes the inner transformation that comes from living a life of faith, love, mercy, and discipleship. St. Paul echoes this message in his letter to the Philippians. Whether experiencing abundance or hardship, he has learned to rely on Christ, declaring: "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." True strength comes not from our circumstances but from our trust in the Lord.
