Reflection
Jesus is leaving his disciples and returning to the Father, whose will he has always done. Now his followers must live by his word, which is not his own but his Father’s. How important is that word! Christ and the Father will live with those who keep it. The Holy Spirit, too, will guide the community of disciples which is the Church, leading us to a deeper understanding of God’s word and its meaning for our lives. We need not worry, for Jesus leaves us his peace, which is so different from the world’s. God’s dwelling in us, Jesus’ legacy is represented by the holy city described in Revelation. There is no temple in that radiant city because God’s glory completely fills it. We, God’s people, are his sanctuary. The report in Acts of the Council of Jerusalem shows that differences of opinion are nothing new in the Church; similar disagreements should not disturb God’s people today. If we accept the Holy Spirit’s guidance, we shall arrive together at the decision God wants.

Good Shepherd Provide–A-Meal Program
Living the Gospel by caring for the elderly…
“Words cannot convey our gratitude to Elizabeth and to the Society of Sharing for giving our mother a new meaning to her life. Before the friendly visit program started, our mother was very depressed and unmotivated. However, her life changed when Elizabeth started to visit her. Elizabeth is a very kind, energetic and enthusiastic volunteer and her hobby is artwork. She decides to share her talent with our mother and has been giving her art lessons in acrylic painting. The intellectual stimulation has been tremendous and as a result, has enhanced her health and her quality of life as she relaxes and focuses on her art projects. Thank you again, for all your support.”
Last year ShareLife-supported agencies provided outreach programs that met the needs of over 2,200 seniors.
Next ShareLife Sunday is June 4th
Please give generously.
