Do you know that the word “sacrifice” comes from 2 Latin words: sacer (Sacred or Holy) and facere (to make). In EDGE we chose Lenten sacrifices that would help “make us Holy”.

St Joseph’s EDGE Youth participated in EDGE Camp EAST 2018. We camped with 8 other parishes from the Archdiocese of Toronto. The camp was completely organized by the Youth Ministers, and the Archdiocese.

On October 27th EDGE celebrated HOLY-Ween, the “Hallowedness of Hallowe’en. Dressed as Saints, we prepared for All Saint’s Day by praying and carving:

On Oct 13th, EDGE celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Miracle in Fatima. We played The Life of a Shepherd and built shrines out of spaghetti, marshmallows and straws.  The Our Lady of Fatima Statue lead the candlelight procession outside onto Morrish Rd, then onto Old Kingston Road, then to the tabernacle, as we prayed the Rosary for World Peace. May we continue to be Soldiers for Peace.
